Turnips Borough Market

Turnips has been a retailer since 1998, opening our warehouse doors and unleashing our wide variety of produce to the public. We teamed up with Brindisa and Neal’s Yard Dairy for what we called a ‘Warehouse Sale’, opening one Saturday morning every few months to the public for a year between 1997 and 1998. Having been solely a wholesaler for 10 years serving top restaurants in London, we wanted to show everyone the difference in quality between the produce in supermarkets and the produce that we source.

And that is exactly what we are still doing! We are now open 6 days a week at Borough Market, our shop displaying our incredible range and quality produce, set up by our brilliant display team every morning. Our passion for quality produce has not once faded and we pride ourselves on our knowledge and great customer service, with our retail team more than willing to help and talk about produce. Turnips Kitchen is a venture of ours in making produce-led street food, born from our commitment to reducing food waste. We turn our surplus fruit and vegetables that are perfectly edible into delicious dishes and juices, sold at Borough Market as well as Greenwich Market.
