The Island Hotel
A beachfront hotel that has a pared-back exterior of whitewashed walls and mosaic-stone pillars. But the style’s ramped right up inside. Think contemporary furniture, polished wood floors and spot-lit ceilings.
The dining scene is made up of a buffet restaurant, an Italian place, a taverna and a laid-back eatery by the pool. You’ve got a good tally of activities in the day, and there’s easy-going entertainment come sundown.
The pool scene at this place was created with relaxation in mind. There are 4 outdoor pools framed by hammocks and double daybeds, one of which is a hydro-massage pool, while an indoor one features a pair of Hyrdrojet curtains.
Food-wise, there’s a choice of restaurants including a romantic à la carte taverna. Come sundown, chilled-out live music is played in the hotel’s cocktail bar. When it comes to things to do, you’ve got tennis, basketball and volleyball all on the list. For something a bit different, try your hand at cookery classes or wine tasting.
The spa* offers a choice of treatments and massages, as well as a sauna and whirlpool. There’s a small gym, too, equipped with machines, treadmills and weights. There’s a timetable of wellbeing classes like yoga, pilates, and stretch.
